ORANGE FOX LLC · DANKI KOREAN
Privacy Policy
Danki Korean is being built around local study. This notice explains what the Korean app keeps on your devices, what this website and its host process, and what happens when you contact us.
Effective and last updated: October 15, 2026
1. Who controls your information
ORANGE FOX LLC operates Danki Korean and this website. For privacy questions or requests, email support@foxred.org. This notice applies to the Korean edition and to korean.danki.net. The separate Japanese Danki service has its own privacy policy.
2. Study data in the Korean app
The planned first release does not require an account. Lesson position, quiz results, review schedules and ratings, library state, and settings are stored on the device where you study. The app bundles its first course content and pronunciation audio so those lessons can work offline. We do not receive that local study history through the Korean app’s first-release study flow.
On a paired iPhone and Apple Watch running Danki Korean, the app exchanges Korean review information through Apple’s device connectivity so the Watch can show and update its review state. iPhone and iPad progress is otherwise separate; there is no account-based progress sync in the first release. The native Mac edition is planned for a later release. Removing the app or resetting its data may remove locally stored progress. Your device’s own backup settings may separately affect what Apple backs up.
The first release does not include a website account, website checkout, advertising, or cross-device cloud study sync. We will update this notice before adding a data flow that changes these statements.
3. Visits to this website
This is a static information site. Our pages do not install analytics or advertising scripts and do not intentionally set cookies or browser storage. Vercel hosts and secures the site. As part of delivery and security, Vercel may process technical request information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser or device details, time, and related logs. See Vercel’s privacy notice for its practices.
We use hosting request information as needed to make the site available, protect it, diagnose failures, and respond to security issues. Where applicable, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website; information you request is also processed to provide the requested service.
4. When you contact us
If you use an email link on this site, your email app opens a message to us. We receive the address you send from, your message, and any details you choose to include. We use them to answer your question, handle a privacy or content request, and maintain a record when reasonably needed for follow-up or legal obligations. Your email provider also processes that message under its own terms. Please do not include sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.
6. Retention and your choices
Study data stays on your device until you remove it using the app or device controls, or the operating system removes it. We do not maintain a hosted Korean study-progress record for the first release. Vercel retains technical information under its service settings and policies. We keep support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve and document the request, then delete it unless a legal obligation or claim requires longer retention.
You can avoid sending a message, clear your own device’s app data, and ask us to delete correspondence we still hold, subject to applicable exceptions.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to complain to a data protection authority. Contact support@foxred.org with your request. We may need enough information to verify that a request relates to you. Because Korean study progress is held locally, we cannot retrieve or change it from our servers.
8. Changes to this notice
We may revise this policy as the Korean app develops. The effective date above will change when the policy changes. Material new account, payment, analytics, or cloud features will be described before they are offered. Questions can be sent to support@foxred.org.
